HISTORY
  |
In 1963 our Founders—Willis Eigsti, Bob Linder, Sam Melvin, and George Woerner—created a Company with a very clear objective. They wanted to build a sophisticated metal working operation, based in their hometown of Morton, Illinois, where employees would make the difference in serving our Customers by being “craftsmen”. Naturally, the name of the company became Morton Metalcraft Co.
Their founding vision prevails today in each of our now five operating facilities located in three states employing over 1,500 people. We have nearly 1,000,000 square feet of manufacturing space producing and shipping over 40,000 fabricated components and subassembly parts daily to over 200 receiving docks for our very prestigious customer base. In today‘s high speed, flexible manufacturing environment, this can only be done with craftsmen dedicated to doing their jobs with an uncompromising commitment to our customers.
Our resolve to achieve and maintain world class manufacturing status for Morton Metalcraft Co. is only possible through the efforts of our employees. Their combined experience and individual dedication continue to provide our company with great opportunities. Morton Metalcraft Co. is only as good as its people and, thankfully, we have great people!
