Design

Working closely with customers in a constructive and collaborative partnership, Morton Metalcraft Co. takes an active role in product design and planning processes at their earliest stages to ensure cost-effective and trouble-free production.

Prototype Development

Using Pro/ENGINEER© and other CAD platforms, Morton Metalcraft Co. is able to employ rapid prototype development techniques to create parts for pre-production evaluation.

Precision Tool Making

Extensive thought, exacting design, and meticulous construction go into every tool used in fabricating metal components for Morton customers.  That means each die, fixture, or other production tool delivers the long-term performance and consistent results you expect.

Laser Cutting

To support the accelerating pace of design and manufacturing in an increasingly global environment, our implementation of 40+ full sheet lasers enables us to assist in reducing OEM’s compressed product development cycles, support just-in-time delivery systems and economically produce low-lot-size requirements for one-of-a-kind parts or large production runs.

Forming

Over 50 intelligent press brakes and folding machines bend material to precise specifications allowing us to provide a consistent product to the end customer.

Robotic and Manual Welding

Three dozen systems, over 400 welders and extensive operator training provides the highest quality welding at the lowest possible cost.

 

Painting

A full range of painting capabilities provide high-quality finishes for metal components and sub-assemblies that meet or exceed customer specifications for economy, consistency, and durability.  A total of five strategically located powder paint systems complement our Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast Operations.

Assembly

We provide a comprehensive array of assemblies and sub-assemblies including components that are supplied to or produced by us.  This value-added aspect of our production capabilities sets us apart from the competition while streamlining customer production operations. Morton Metalcraft Co. uses its collective experience to continually improve its assembly techniques, guaranteeing superb integration of components for trouble-free sub-assemblies that facilitate final production of finished goods.
